      • Beginning in January 2022, District Leadership met to create a strategic plan.
      • January 27, District Leadership held a community meeting. In-person and virtual options brought 80 community members together. The first meeting was to gather words to revise the district’s mission statement. We used the words provided to create our priorities. Categories were:
        • Academic Progress
        • Staff Retention and Recruitment
        • Culture and Climate
        • Operations and Facilities
      • In February, we invited the community back – over 50 people showed up. We presented several options for a mission statement, and the results of the word gathering for the missions and categories. We asked those present to meet in the four groups to begin the process of setting a SMART goal and categories for each priority.
      • At the March community meeting, the group used Google Forms to vote for the mission statement. At this meeting we began our work with our mission. Together, we will engage, empower, and prepare all our learners for the future. Focus groups in each, priority met to continue work on SMART goals and action steps. For April meetings, the focus groups met separately to finish the drafts of the action plan.
      • In May, one more community meeting occurred so the focus groups could share the SMART goals and action steps for the next 5 years.
      • The Strategic Plan was adopted by the School Board at the June 2022 meeting.
  • August 2022 – present
    • The leaders of each strategic priority meet to update progress towards the goals and next steps.
